The Saturn 5 rocket is the rocket that has the heaviest launch vehicle payload ever. It’s a liquid fuel rocket that mean that it takes liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen. The rocket is divided into 3 parts. The crew stays in the upper part, the command module and attached to this part is the service module. This part like all of the part come off at different times in the mission, the service module comes off at the end of the mission when the command module reenters earth’s atmosphere with its heat shield so it does not burn up! This rocket was designed by Wernher Von Braun. This was also the rocket that landed the first men on the Moon(Neil Armstrong,Buzz Aldrin).
